After the Super League 2021 being played for almost 10 games since the beginning of the year, the tight schedule and short cool down period between each matchday has tested the strength and fitness of all the M League players.

Each team needs to make sure the players stay fit during matchday and make sure the players get adequate recovery and rest after the final whistle is blown.

Injuries are the last thing a team wants. Nevertheless, even if all remedial and injury prevention measures are practiced, injuries can still occur especially when competitive and high-intensity matches are played.

From the Selangor camp, there are now four players who are currently undergoing the recovery process, namely Nik Sharif, Halim Saari, Wan Zack Haikal and most recently Tim Heubach suffered major injuries for this season.

Here is the latest news from these players:

NIK SHARIF HASEEFY

The Selangor FC team started the Malaysia League in the absence of our pacey winger, Nik Sharif Haseefy who suffered an injury to his left ankle during the pre-season training.

He completed his treatment session last March and he is currently undergoing strengthening sessions as well as regaining back his fitness.

Nik is expected to return to training with the main team at the end of this month or in early May.
 
HALIM SAARI

The loss of Halim Saari was immediately felt in the Selangor camp. He suffered a cruciate ligament (ACL) injury against Terengganu FC in the Super League 2021 at the beginning of last month is expected to undergo a recovery process in a longer period.
 
Halim, who has undergone surgery, is now in the recovery process for almost two weeks and he has shown a high level of commitment in undergoing rehabilitation and eager to return to wearing the Selangor jersey immediately.

WAN ZACK HAIKAL

SFC winger, Wan Zack Haikal has been confirmed to suffered a meniscus injury to his right knee during a friendly match against Negeri Sembilan FC recently.

Wan Zack, who has played in 4 games this season is currently undergoing a recovery session that started 2 weeks ago and needs at least another 6 weeks to return to action.
 
TIM HEUBACH

The towering center-back from Germany is the latest player to be listed in the injury list.

While playing against Kedah Darul Aman FC in the Super League 2021 last week, Tim suffered a lower body injury during the first half of the match after colliding with the opposing team's striker.

He then underwent surgery and is expected to take 1 to 2 months for the recovery process before he can be re -listed to play again.

SFC is committed to giving full support to Nik Sharif, Halim Saari, Wan Zack Haikal and Tim Heubach in undergoing the recovery process and hopes that they will return to wearing the Selangor jersey as soon as possible.
